The Yaesu FT-920 is packed with really high tech features such as: a high performance 33 MIPS DSP circuit for razor-sharp
selectivity, increased average power output and voice pattern contour choice, automatic seeking DSP notch and noise reduction,
built-in antenna tuner for RX and TX, DSP bandwidth controls and shuttle jog tuning controls. It provides exceptional multimode
performance from 160 through 6 meters.
The new design 100 watt MOS FET amplifier and unibody construction provides efficient, full power for ham bands 1.8 to
54 MHz. Utilizing rugged MRF355 FETs in a push-pull configuration, the FT-920's final amplifier stage produces 100 watts of
clean output power.
The multi-function tuning dials provide easy setup for split-frequency operating situations. When seconds count, you will
appreciate the ease of tuning with two large tuning knobs in combination with the LED-illuminated VFO selector switches. The
Sub VFO dial may also be used for Clarifier (RIT/XIT) tuning or memory channel selection. Variable tuning steps of 1 Hz, 10
Hz, or 100 Hz are provided on SSB, CW and digital modes (10, 100 and 1000 Hz on AM/FM). An ergonomic keypad is available for
band selection or direct frequency entry.
For contesters, this transceiver even features a digital voice recorder and electronic memory message keyer (4 messages
of up to 50 characters each). A DB-9 RS-232C jack is featured for an easy connection to a personal computer (no level converter
is required). Includes MH-31B8 hand microphone, DC cord and manual. Requires 12 VDC at 22 amps.
